It has been a busy month and it is hard to believe it is almost over.   For those who have been asking about classes- please see the Class Schedule page and contact me if you want to come before the end of the month.   Unless there is a special request, I will not be holding any more classes until January 2015.   With Christmas on track, if you are looking for a gift or stocking stuffer, I offer gift certificates and loyalty cards.  If you know a Reiki Practitioner and would like to give them a wonderful gift- I still have "The Reiki Touch" kit in stock for $30.00.  This kit was developed by William Rand, International Centre for Reiki Training.  It has a wonderful DVD on how to give self treatments and treatments on others.  It also contains a Reiki Information book, Reiki Music and Mediations. With Fall in full swing- cooling down and less light- it is a good time to start thinking inwardly.  Time to say 'whew', the busyness of summer is over, now what am I going to do for Me!  (Before the next busy season is before us- shhh- the "C" word.) I will be offering Usui Reiki courses in November for all levels.  I am currently looking into a facility that can accommodate the classes and will be posting class schedules and times shortly. For those who would love to take 45 minutes or an hour just for your own well being and pampering- I am available for appointments. I will be providing treatments to anyone who is interested on Wednesdays between 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm at this location.  You do not have to be a client of Health for Life Medical Centre to book an appointment. Recently I received an email from someone and at the bottom were the first few words from a poem I so loved when I was younger.  I was inspired to find it, find out more about it.  The poem is "Desiderata" written and published by Max Ehrmann in the 1920's.  It still resonates, if not more so today in the big shift in our world and people. I share it here with you- may it bring you peace, direction and hope: " Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. I am very excited to announce I will be providing Reiki Treatments to clients out of Health For Life Medical Centre, 637 Princess Street, Kingston, ON starting April 30, 2014. Appointments are available between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm every Wednesday.  Parking in the rear of the building.  Crossroad is Nelson Street and Princess Street. There are insurance companies in Canada who are offering a paid benefit for Reiki Treatments.  The Canadian Reiki Association, of whom I am a member, has provided all members with a professional form clients can use to submit their claim.  If you are not sure if your provider will accept the claim, the Canadian Reiki Association is asking the Practitioners to continue to encourage clients to submit the claims.  "Rejected claims will only bring awareness to the insurance industry.  It is our intention that this form of awareness will help to shift the insurance industry to include Reiki in all Extended Health Care packages."  Bonnie Smith, President, Canadian Reiki Association.
