I am very excited to announce I will be providing Reiki Treatments to clients out of Health For Life Medical Centre, 637 Princess Street, Kingston, ON starting April 30, 2014. Appointments are available between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm every Wednesday.  Parking in the rear of the building.  Crossroad is Nelson Street and Princess Street. There are insurance companies in Canada who are offering a paid benefit for Reiki Treatments.  The Canadian Reiki Association, of whom I am a member, has provided all members with a professional form clients can use to submit their claim.  If you are not sure if your provider will accept the claim, the Canadian Reiki Association is asking the Practitioners to continue to encourage clients to submit the claims.  "Rejected claims will only bring awareness to the insurance industry.  It is our intention that this form of awareness will help to shift the insurance industry to include Reiki in all Extended Health Care packages."  Bonnie Smith, President, Canadian Reiki Association. I think it is easy to dismiss the healing arts/modalities as not being a professional career.  I often laugh and say I finally achieved my Masters education!    The Universe always gives you what you want, but maybe not in the way you expect it!   I have eagerly read my Spring 2014 Reiki News Magazine from cover to cover. I have been off line for almost 9 months- as I have been birthing a new life!  ..... ..........A new career, a new city, a new home, new friends! As always, the concisous effort of keeping Reiki totally integrated has been .... well, I could write many posts about the challenges.  Perhaps "challenge" is the wrong word...I have to remember my own words and the teachings of Reiki- sometimes the simplicity of it makes us forget how truly powerful it is.  Effective too.  I would like to say I was in perfect harmony with Reiki through my transition, however- oh what a wicked distraction life is! As always, the months seem to slip by after Christmas and then we find ourselves smack into spring which creates a whole new set of activities.  I am going to just do a quick post today, but it was very clear to me that over the past few weeks (and possibly months!) I have been so busy that I have allowed my busy-ness to reduce how much Reiki I am doing and giving.  It is a habit, really, to incorporate anything into your life.  We hear all the time it takes 21 days to integrate a habit (lose old ones, replace new ones).  I think we can slip if we do not keep up  the focus.
